UB Virtual Private Network (UBVPN)
UB Virtual Private Network (UBVPN) provides a method for using a public network (usually the Internet) to securely access a private network. Often VPN is described as a “tunnel” for accessing a private network. UBVPN allows clients connecting from a non-UB Internet Service Provider (ISP), such as Time Warner or Verizon, access to campus resources as if they are directly connected to the campus network.
UBVPN provides an added level of security for wireless connections by sending data over the public Internet through a secure tunnel.
What can I access?
UBVPN allows you to access departmental Windows NT servers, email, iprint anywhere, and other campus resources that are not ordinarily available via UBWireless or from off-campus ISPs.
Requirements
UBVPN requires a valid UBITName and password to connect.
