Wireless Access: UB_Secure
Create a Windows XP profile for UB_Secure
Note: It's tempting to click on UB_Secure in your found network list and then create a profile, but this has not been successful for most people.
- Select Start, then Control Panel. Double-click Network Connections and then double-click the Wireless Network icon. Click Properties. Select the Wireless Networks tab. Click Add.
- Select the Association tab. Enter the case-sensitive Network name UB_Secure. In the Wireless network key section select WPA2 for Network Athentication and AES for Data encryption.
- Select the Authentication tab. Select PEAP and do not select either Authenticate as computer when computer information is available or Authenticate as guest when user or computer information is unavailable.
- Click Properties. Select Validate server certificate, select the authentication method Secured password and select Enable Fast Reconnect. Leave Roaming identity and Domain blank if they are in your setup.
- Click Configure. Deselect Automatically use my Windows logon name and password (and domain if any). Click OK.
- On the Connection tab, if desired, select Connect when this network is in range.
- Save the profile by clicking OK.
- Click OK. Click OK. Click Close.
Manage your profile
If you change your UBIT password, you must delete and re-create your profile.
