Wireless Access: UB_Secure
Create an Intel PROSet profile for UB_Secure
If Intel PROSet Wireless does not appear in your program list, follow the directions for configuring the Windows XP Wireless manager or the Windows Vista Wireless manager.
If UB_Secure appears in your Found Networks list, highlight UB_Secure and click Connect. Follow the prompts to create a profile using the values found in the following steps.
- Select Start, then All Programs. Select Intel PROSet Wireless.Click Profiles.
- In the Profiles window, click Add.

- Select General Settings from the left menu and enter UB_Secure (including caps as displayed) for the Profile Name and the SSID. Make sure Network is chosen as the operating mode. Click Next.
- Select Security Settings from the left menu. Use the pull down menus to select
WPA2-Enterprise for Network Authentication, AES-CCMP for Data Encryption, and PEAP for Authentication Type. For PEAP User, select MS-CHAP-V2 for Authentication Protocol and Prompt each time I connect for User Credentials. Make sure Roaming Identity is left blank. Click Cisco Options.
- (Optional) Check Enable Cisco Compatible Extensions; Enable Radio Management Support should be pre-selected. Check Allow Fast Roaming (CCKM). Click OK then Click Next in the Security Setting window.
- For PEAP Server select Validate Server Certificate. Click OK.
- Highlight UB_Secure and use the arrows on the right side of the Profiles window to move UB_Secure to the top of the list. Click Connect.
- Enter your UBITName and password. Leave blank Roaming Identity and Domain. Click OK.
