Wireless Access: UB_Secure
Configure your Blackberry without a Data Plan for UB_Secure
Warning: If you have a Data Plan with AT&T, check with your service provider about changing and restoring your TCP settings or accessing your Data Plan after reconfiguring for UB_Secure.
- Disable TCP
- From home screen, go to Options > Advanced Options > TCP
- Blank all TCP settings (APN, Username, and Password)
- Save settings and exit to home screen
- Select a default browser
- Go to Options > Advanced Options > Browser
- Make sure you select Wi-Fi Browser as your default browser
- Save settings and exit
- From the home screen go to Manage Connections > Set Up Wi-Fi Network > Scan for Networks
- Add UB_Secure and edit the Wi-Fi options for that entry:
- Name: UB_Secure
- SSID: UB_Secure (Case sensitive)
- Band type: 802.11b/g
- Security type: PEAP
- Username/password: Your UBITName and password
- CA Certificate: set to Entrust.net Secure Server Certificate
- Inner Link security: AUTO
- Token: None
- Server subject and san: blank
- Automatically obtain IP addr & DNS: check
- Allow inter-access point handover: (recommended)
- Prompt before connection: (recommended)
- Turn ON Wi-Fi connection
- Scroll to Login to Wi-Fi Hot Spot
