What happens when you graduate?
During the 1st 6 months after graduation

| Recommended | Sign up with the Alumni Association to have your UBmail account converted to Google Apps (for life), | |
| Or, access your email and manage your forwarding as usual (6 months only) | ||
| Recommended | 1. Establish a new email address with a commercial provider, such as Hotmail | |
| 2. Sign up for a free lifetime forwarding email address with the Alumni Association | ||
| 3. Notify your contacts of your new email address | ||
| 4. Forward your university email account to your new address | ||
| Beginning 6 months after graduation | |

| I converted to Google Apps | Continue to send and receive email from your @buffalo address and manage your forwarding using your UBITName |
| I did not convert to Google Apps | If you have not forwarded your UBmail to another provider, no mail to your @buffalo address is available If you forwarded your UBmail to another provider, continue to receive mail sent to your @buffalo address, but not change your forwarding |
