UBITName Deactivation
Why did I receive a deactivation notice?
You are an official volunteer
Volunteer appointment status records are maintained by Personnel Services offices. Your UBITName will remain active for the duration of your appointment. Your UBITName will deactivate when your volunteer appointment ends. Contact the appropriate Personnel Services office to update your volunteer appointment status.
Deactivation notices are sent automatically when you are no longer affiliated with the University at Buffalo.
Confirming your affiliation
CIT does not determine affiliation. To confirm your affiliation status:
- Students: contact the Student Response Center
- Faculty, staff, and volunteers: contact Human Resources
Changes made by the Student Response Center or Human Services take at least one day to be transmitted to CIT.
If you believe you received the notice in error and you can not find yourself in the list above, please contact the CIT Help Desk (645-3542).
When your UBITName is deactivated you will no longer be able to use your account.
