What is my UBITName?

Your UBITName is your University at Buffalo Information Technology userName. Your UBITName is your key to Cybrary resources, email, MyUB, ResNet, UBlearns, and other services.

You can find your UBITName online or on a UBITName Lookup station at CIT Public computing sites. Swipe your UBCard and your UBITName, email address and the default password formula will be displayed on the screen. If you don't have a UB Card you can bring goverment-issued photo identification to the CIT Help Desk to obtain your ubitname.

You can register for courses over the telephone via BIRD without a UBITName. BIRD (Billing, Inquiry, Records, and Drop/Add) is the University automated telephone system used for adding/dropping courses, viewing grades, and obtaining financial aid information.
