Why did I receive a deactivation notice?
You are a retiree or are retiring
When you retire from the University at Buffalo your Personnel Services office must change your status to an official retiree. While this does not require any action from you, you should confirm that your Personnel Services office has updated your status.
Deactivation notices are sent automatically when you are no longer affiliated with the University at Buffalo.
Confirming your affiliation
CIT does not determine affiliation. To confirm your affiliation status:
- Students: contact the Student Response Center
- Faculty, staff, and volunteers: contact Human Resources
Changes made by the Student Response Center or Human Services take at least one day to be transmitted to CIT.
If you believe you received the notice in error and you can not find yourself in the list above, please contact the CIT Help Desk (645-3542).
When your UBITName is deactivated you will no longer be able to use your account.
