I don't know my password

You have saved answers

If you created a set of answers to questions in the UB Account Management Tool, you can reset your password yourself.

  1. Go to the UB Account Management Tool
  2. Enter your UBITName
  3. Click Forgot Your Password
  4. Answer at least four (4) of the questions you previously answered. If they match, you will be brought to the Change Password page.
  5. Enter your new password in both the Password and the Confirm Password fields
  6. Click Change Password

You do not have saved answers

The CIT Help Desk can reset your questions/answers to a default set in person at the CIT Help Desk office, via email, or fax.

Email or fax (716-645-3617) your reset request to the CIT Help Desk. Your request must include:

  • your name
  • a copy of a government-issued picture ID with name and date of birth
  • a telephone number where you can be reached

Help Desk staff will contact you at the telephone number you provide with your password.

Once the CIT Help Desk has reset your questions, you can change your password.

Password security

Your new password must be secure; insecure passwords will be rejected. Your password must:

  • be between 8 and 32 characters in length
  • contain at least one uppercase letter
  • contain at least one lowercase letter
  • contain at least one number
  • not have more than four (4) numbers in sequence
  • contain at at least one of the following characters:
    ~!@#$%^&*()_+=-`{}[]|";'<>,.?/
    
  • not contain the following characters:
    :\
