How long does it take to get a UBITName?
UBITNames are automatically created 24 hours after your information is recorded in the institutional database. Student UBITNames are created after you've registered for classes; faculty and staff UBITNames are created after your appointment paperwork has been processed.
You can check on the status of your UBITName on the online directory or at a UBCard station in a public computing site.
I can't come to the Help Desk to reset my password.
Fax a copy of your UBCard or driver's license, telephone number, and a brief note explaining that you need your password reset to (716) 645-3617. We will contact you when we've reset your password.
What happens to my UBITName after I graduate?
Your UBITName will remain active for 6 months after your degree conferral date.
What happens to my UBITName over the summer?
If you were a registered student for the spring semester, your UBITName will remain active through the summer.
