Deactivation
You may have received a deactivation notice because you:
- have an Administrative/Departmental UBITName,
- have a ten-month appointment,
- are working on an incomplete,
- are not currently enrolled and have not received a degree,
- have graduated,
- are on an official leave of absence,
- are in between appointments,
- have recently retired or are a retiree,
- are a Senior Auditor,
- are a volunteer.
Deactivation notices are sent automatically when you are no longer affiliated with the University at Buffalo.
Confirming your affiliation
CIT does not determine affiliation. To confirm your affiliation status:
- Students: contact the Student Response Center
- Faculty, staff, and volunteers: contact Personnel Services
Changes made by the Student Response Center or Personnel Services take at least one day to be transmitted to CIT.
If you believe you received the notice in error and you can not find yourself in the list above, please contact the CIT Help Desk (645-3542).
When your UBITName is deactivated you will no longer be able to use your account.
