Most of the software that UB provides works on 64-bit Windows operating systems. Additionally software vendors have made 64-bit versions available for distribution for software such as Symantec AV and Firewall. In most cases, the UBIT documentation provided for the software will apply to the 64-bit versions.

64-bit software

• UBVPN
  • There is currently NO 64-bit compatible UBVPN client.
  • On-campus wireless can be securely accessed by 64-bit computers via UB_Secure.
• Symantec AntiVirus
  • The 64-bit version is provided on the download page.
• Office 2007
  • This product will install on 64-bit operating systems.
  • UB supports Office 2007 for non-hardware related issues.
• Symantec Firewall
  • The 64-bit version is provided on the download.
• X-Win32
  • This product will install on 64-bit operating systems
  • UB supports X-Win32 for non-hardware related issues
