Microsoft Office includes Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Microsoft Office 2003 comes with Service Pack 2 which contains security enhancements as well as stability and performance improvements.

Microsoft Office is available on CD along with other software products at UBMicro.

Compatibility with Office 2007

The Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack gives older versions of Office the ability to open, edit, and save Office 2007 documents.

Microsoft Office 2003 suite is licensed to all students paying the technology fee, faculty, and staff at the University at Buffalo. Faculty and staff are licensed to install Microsoft Office software on university and personally owned computers for academic or work-related purposes. Faculty and Staff must be employed by the state, UB Foundation, Research Foundation, Faculty Student Association, or have Geographic Full Time Faculty status.
