Maple is a mathematical application that supports symbolic and numeric computation and graphics. You can download Maple for personal use or use it on a public IT computer.

Download Eligibility

Maple is available to:

  • Students who have paid the Comprehensive fee
  • Faculty
  • Faculty Student Association employees
  • Geographic Full time Faculty
  • State employees (UUP, CSEA, MC, PEF)
  • SubBoard I (SBO) employees
  • Research Foundation employees
  • UB Foundation employees

Important Installation Notes

  • Stay connected to the Internet while installing Maple
  • Determine whether your computer is 32 or 64 bit. Directions on Microsoft's website can help you determine which version you have
  • Copy the purchase code when it appears in a second window; you must enter it later in the installation
  • Select Single User license
  • Use your UBITName@buffalo.edu when completing the email address registration field

Run from My Virtual Computing Lab Instead

You can run Maple remotely from your own computer using My Virtual Computing Lab instead of installing it.
