Symantec EndPoint Protection AntiVirus protects email, instant messages, and other files by automatically removing viruses, worms, and Trojan horses.
Vista Upgrade warning
If you are planning to upgrade an existing Windows installation to any version of Vista, you must un-install all Symantec products prior to starting the upgrade.
After the upgrade, install Symantec EndPoint Protection AntiVirus.
License Agreement
By downloading the software, you confirm that you have read the license agreement and you agree to and acknowledge the terms of the license agreement. You understand that sharing the software with others is an offense.
This software can not be downloaded and stored in a shared file space.
Symantec AntiVirus is licensed to all students paying the technology fee, faculty, and staff at the University at Buffalo. Faculty and staff are licensed to install Symantec AntiVirus software on university and personally owned computers for academic or work-related purposes. Faculty and Staff must be employed by the state, UB Foundation, Research Foundation, Faculty Student Association, the Practice Plans, or have Geographic Full Time Faculty status.
Important Notes
- If you are running Symantec Client Security (AntiVirus and Firewall), this AntiVirus only version of Symantec EndPoint Protection will uninstall the Symantec Firewall. To upgrade the Symantec Firewall, download Symantec EndPoint Protection AntiVirus and Firewall.
- When installing in Windows Vista, you must right-click on the installation file after downloading, and select "Run as administrator".
- You must remove other anti-virus programs before installing Symantec AntiVirus.
