Using UBVPN for Mac

1. Double-click Macintosh HD, select Applications, then VPNClient.
   
   
2. Select oncampus if you are connecting from a Wireless Internet Zone or other wireless location on campus. Select offcampus if you are connecting from a third-party ISP, such as Verizon or Time Warner Road Runner.Click the Connect icon at the top of the window.
   
3. Enter your UBITName in the Username field. Enter your UBIT password in the Password field.
   
4. Once you are connected, the Banner page will appear. Click Continue. Your connection will remain active for up to three hours of inactivity or 24 hours of connectivity.
   
   Note: Power management modes differ from laptop to laptop. If you are using a laptop connected to a wireless network, when your computer goes into sleep mode, the wireless network card will drop your Internet connection. Stop and restart the UBVPN Client to reconnect to UBVPN.

When you are done, click the Disconnect icon in the upper left corner of the UBVPN window to disconnect and end your UBVPN connection.
