Installing Norton AntiVirus

1. When the Opening NAV_11_Corp.zip window appears, select Open with Stuffit Expander (default), then click OK.
   
2. The file will download to your computer. Click Open.
   
3. Select NAV_11_Corp, then Norton AntiVirusCorp.English.mpkg.
   
4. Norton AntiVirus installer will launch. Click Continue.
   
5. Review the information about Norton AntiVirus, then click Continue.
   
6. Review the Software License Agreement, then click Continue.
   
7. You must agree to the terms of the License Agreement in order to install Norton AntiVirus. Click Agree to continue.
   
8. Installation requires 31.3 MB of space. Provided you have enough free space on your computer, click Install.
   
9. Enter your computer administrator password, then click OK.
   
10. Close any other software that you may have open on your computer, then click Continue Installation.
    
11. Norton Antivirus will install. Once installation is complete, click Restart. Your computer will restart. Run LiveUpdate immediately after your computer restarts.
    

Run LiveUpdate

1. In order to run LiveUpdate, you must first establish a connection to the Internet. Once you have established a connection, click the black and gold Norton AntiVirus symbol in the Menu Bar at the top of the screen in the menu bar.
   
2. Select Open LiveUpdate.
   
3. Select Update Everything Now.
   

Scheduling Scans

Run your anti-virus software frequently, so that it can catch any viruses on your system. You can schedule Norton AntiVirus to automatically scan your computer on a regular basis.

1. Click the black and gold Norton AntiVirus symbol in the Menu Bar and select Norton AntiVirus, then Open Norton AntiVirus.
2. Select Automatic Protection from the left-hand pane.
   
3. Click the padlock if it is locked.
   
4. Click Add Virus Scan Event. Enter a name in the Event Name field. Select the Event Type Virus Scan and choose a Frequency. Select which day of the month from the calendar and choose a time. Under Item to Scan, choose Macintosh HD.
   
5. Click OK.
