Using the VPN client in UBLinux

UBLinux 4 comes with the UB VPN client already installed and configured. To run the VPN client,click on the UB Logo, then choose either VPN Client offcampus or VPN Client oncampus depending on your location from the UB Applications menu.

A new window will open up, and you will be prompted to enter your UBIT name and password. The VPN client will then connect and your connection to UB will be established and secured. To close the connection, select the VPN client window and press Ctrl + c.

NOTE: If a new Linux kernel image has been installed, you will need to re-install the VPN client. See our instructions on how to re-build the VPN client.
