Public Computing Sites

Software

CIT offers a wide variety of software on computers in the public computing sites. Software available varies depending on the kind of station; please consult the list below for details about the software available on different stations.

Stations

  • Cybrary
    Cybrary stations are equipped with the software most students use for their academic work. You must have a UBITName to log in to Cybrary stations. They are located in most public computing sites.
  • Library Research
    Library research stations have a limited selection of software selected for the needs of most library patrons. You must have a Library username to log in to library research stations. Library research stations are available in all University libraries.
  • Assistive
    Assistive stations help persons with disabilities gain access to computing resources in public computing sites.
  • Reader
    Reader stations have special hardware and software to enlarge and read printed documents aloud.
  • Scanner
    Scanner stations are equipped with flatbed scanners and image manipulation software.
