ResNet is your connection to the UB network and the Internet. ResNet is provided in all University Residence Halls and Apartments at no additional cost.

Get Connected

Connect to UB ResNet in three steps:

1. Prepare your computer

We recommend your computer meet these technical recommendations.

There are a few steps you can take to prepare your computer for ResNet. These simple steps will make the check-in process smoother by ensuring your computer is clean and free from vulnerabilities.

2. Connect your computer

You've prepared your computer: now you're ready to connect.

If you have a router, connect it first:

• Connecting your Linksys router
• Connecting your NETGEAR router

Connect your computer:

• Connect your Windows XP computer to ResNet
• Connect your Windows Vista computer to ResNet
• Connect your Macintosh computer to ResNet

3. Get a NetPass

Before you can connect to the UB network and Internet, you need a NetPass. UB NetPass registers your computer for up to 1 year. Once your computer is registered, you will be presented with a login screen. Thereafter you will be able to connect to UB's network and the Internet.
