OpenPort

What is OpenPort?

OpenPort is an access method at UB to connect to the UB network and the Internet using network jacks and ethernet cabling. Non-wired access is also available via UBWireless.

Requirements:

  • A 10/100 network interface in your computer
  • A category 5 Ethernet cable
  • Your UBITName and password

Login is with your UBITName and password.

1. Health Sciences Library OpenPort areas are open to all affiliated University community members. Preference is given to Health Science Students and Media needs. More information may be obtained at the reference desk.

2. Law Library reserves OpenPorts located in study carrels for law students; a number of locations are available to affiliated university community members. More information may be obtained at the reference desk.
