    Your UBITName is your key to IT services at UB. Not sure what your UBITName is? Check here.
  2. Set your password reset questions and change your password
    A secure password is important; it protects your personal information. By answering secret questions now, you can reset your own password.
  3. Pharmacy, Medical and Dental students: Activate your mailbox
    You don't receive email at your UB address until you activate your mailbox.

Step 2: Secure your computer

  1. Install antivirus software
    AntiVirus software protects your computer by automatically removing viruses, worms, and Trojan horses.
  2. Laptop user? Install UBVPN
    UBVPN encrypts sensitive data between your computer and the UB network, protecting you and your account. UBVPN is the only secure way to access the UB network.
  3. Install operating system updates (Windows) (Mac)
    Use your operating system's built-in firewall and update feature to ensure the security of your computer.
