Outlook 2003 email account setup

1. Select Tools, then E-mail Accounts.


2. Select Add a new email account, then click Next.
   
3. Select IMAP, then click Next.
   
4. Enter your name and email address in the Your Name and Email Address fields in the User Information area. In the Server Information Area, enter imap.buffalo.edu in the Incoming mail server (IMAP) field. Enter smtp.buffalo.edu in the Outgoing mail server(SMTP) field. Enter your UBITName in the User Name field in the Logon Information area. If you want Outlook to remember your password, enter your password and select the Remember password box.
   
   • If you use ResNet, on-campus wireless, or you directly dial in to UB's modem pool, click Next.
   • If you connect to the Internet using an off-campus ISP such as Verizon or Time Warner, click More Settings, select the Advanced tab, then change the Outgoing Server to 465 and select This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL). Click OK. Click Next.
   
   
5. You will see a Congratulations! screen. Click Finish to close the E-mail accounts wizard.
   
6. If you did not select the Remember password box, you will be prompted to enter your UBITName and password.
7. Outlook will automatically subscribe to all email folders on the server.
