How do I print?
Print from your application as usual: your document will be sent to the print server. You have to "release" it before it is sent to the printer. You may release your documents from your computer or at an iprint release station. In most cases, it is more convenient to release your document from your computer. Print/copy card users must use iprint pay release stations to release documents.
To release from your computer:
- The iprint pop-up window opens each time you print a document.
- Enter your password.
- Click "Release all my documents now."
- iprint will calculate the cost; you may pay using your UB Quota, a departmental quota purse, or Campus Cash purse. Print/copy cards cannot be used to release your document from your computer.
- Confirm that you want to print the selected document(s).
- Your document is sent to printer.
From a print release station:
If you want to use a print/copy card, you must use a print release pay station.
- Enter your UBITName and password. University Library guests enter your Library user name and password.
- Click the Next or Sign In buttons.
- iprint displays your available UB Quota, a list of your documents, and the cost per document.
- Click on the document(s) you want to print; iprint will calculate the total price.
- Click Next Purse to see other purse balances and select the purse to pay for your documents.
- Click GoPrint to print your documents.
- On the next screen, Click Here to Accept the Charge and Start Printing will send your documents to the printer. Use the Back button to change your selected documents and purse.
- iprint will display the print location.
Print release stations are in all public computing sites except computer classrooms. You must release from your computer in computing classrooms. Print/copy cards may not be used in computer classrooms.
