Department changes

The name of my department has changed, will my Userid change?

Sometimes. Some systems like Course Registration, Course maintenance, are dependent on the Userid for the appropriate level of access. It may be necessary to change your Userid to the new entity. This will not happen unless notification is sent of this change.

I’ve moved to another department do I have to re-apply for a new CICS account and access?

Yes. Access is approved for your current responsibilities within your department. The process of requesting access should be repeated for new appointments with the appropriate approval.

Note, Userids are routinely monitored by the security administrator. Userids that do match a person’s current appointment record in the personnel system will be flagged. These Userids may be suspended without prior notification.
